A six night retreat to move, stretch, rest and restore in beautiful Tuscany.
Yoga: two daily classes - a flowing breath led morning class to greet the day and a restorative class in the evening to treat our bodies kindly, encouraging deep rest.
Delicious Italian food, cooked and largely grown at Le Pianore farmstead, with its beautifully restored villas and studio spaces.
Space to unwind and relax, pools to swim in, the best company to talk to over meals or to sit with looking out over the stunning views.
Visits to ancient Roman thermal baths and to medieval mountain top villages.
The Rooms
Studio Loft
Budget room above the peaceful yoga studio. Up to five single mattresses. Two downstairs bathrooms with showers.

Villa Campostefani
The building dates back to 1100 A.D. It used to house the builders working on the Motepinzutolo Castle, it later became the home of farmers who shared the spaces with the animals.
Inside there are seven bedrooms, six bathrooms, a living room with a kitchenette, a dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. The rooms all have terracotta floors, delightfully cool in the summertime. Most of the rooms have a private bathroom and direct access to the gardens.

La Pagliatella
A completely eco-friendly straw house made of 100% natural materials. The two bedrooms overlook the olive groves, offering a view of the Villa and the gardens.

La Fienile - Cottage
Dating back to 700 A.D it was the first human settlement in the whole area, used by the Abbey of San Salvatore as lodging for monks.
The historical Fienile is now converted into a cottage with a private bathroom and a breathtaking view from the bedroom window.
It is a two-storey house with its own kitchenette and living room.

The Yurt
With two large windows and a skylight, this bright, contemporary yurt is a perfect forest hideaway! 2 single beds and 1 large double bed. Bathroom with shower just outside the Yurt.

There will be two yoga classes each day. The morning class at around 8am will stretch us, move our bodies, tune us into our breath, finding a meditative flowing sequence.
We’ll meet again in the afternoon for restorative yoga, a soft, slow practice using bolsters and blankets to help soothe the nervous system and find deep rest.
There will be optional meditation first thing, a chance to sit and breathe in the morning, and an evening yoga Nidra after our day trip to help body and mind to relax.
The classes will be suitable for all levels and yoga experience.
There will be time to unwind: time to chat or read or write or dream, to take a dip in the natural freshwater pond or relax by the pool.

Included in the price:
Six nights accommodation at beautiful Le Pianore
Yoga: two classes per day. Yoga mats and props provided - blocks, belts, blankets and bolsters
Use of all the facilities including the grounds, yoga studio, sun deck and two outdoor pools
Excursions - day trip to a hilltop town Hot Springs via minibus. Lunch not included. Half day walk to Monticello Amiata. Lunch not included.
Three delicious meals per day except lunch on our two excursions out. Tea, coffee €1 but included at breakfast.
Not included in price:
Return flights or Airport Transfers from/to Le Pianore from Florence, Pisa and Rome.
Buses: Although there are a few buses connecting the local towns to the larger centres, it is recommended that you have your own vehicle.
Transfers: We have been recommended the service “Your Private Driver” to arrange your transfer to and from the airport, train stations and cities a mini bus for 7 is Florence €300 2hours drive, Pisa €350 2hours15 drive, Rome €360/400 2hours30 drive. We can coordinate arrivals and sharing lifts or minibus to bring the cost down.
Extra drinks including alcohol, Le Pianore has its own selection of lovely wines to buy. You can add to your tab to settle at the end of your stay.
Any massages or cooking classes, I’ll contact you nearer the time to help you book. Cooking class 15Euros/person. Massages 1 hour 80 Euro, pay in cash directly to the therapist.
Extra towel for swimming and hot springs - they can be rented from Le Pianore if you can’t fit a towel in your luggage.
Travel Insurance.
Cancellation Policy
In the unlikely event that the retreat or event is cancelled due to weather, natural disaster, political upheaval, or Covid restrictions, we cannot guarantee a refund – it will be dependent on receiving a refund from the venue. To cover these eventualities, we highly recommend you purchase travel insurance.
Travel Insurance:
It is highly recommended to purchase travel insurance. Travel Insurance can protect you financially and offer peace of mind in case:
• you cancel your participation in the retreat or event
• retreat or event is cancelled due to weather, natural disaster
• lost baggage
• medical expenses and the cost of repatriation should you become ill or injured
If I am unable to attend for any reason I will provide an alternative and equally well-qualified teacher.
Please note that there will be no refunds or discounts for arriving late, leaving early, flight cancellations, travel delays or illness.
If you cancel your participation in a retreat or event for any reason, the cancellation policy below will apply. We wish we could compensate people for unforeseen circumstances (injury, family emergency, etc) and we have designed our cancellation policy to be as compassionate as possible in the case that your plans change. To protect yourself further, we strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance.
Up to 60 days prior to the start of the event: full refund (excluding deposit/admin fee).
60 – 30 days prior to the start of the event, provided your place is filled by another person, you may transfer the full credit (excluding deposit) to future events organized by Martha Littlehailes within the next 12 months from cancellation.
Less than 30 days prior to the start of the event, no refunds or credits, however you may transfer your credit (excluding deposit) to another person for the same event.
